New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard has been fighting the injury bug all season.

Shepard didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice due to a hamstring injury. He was seen riding a stationary bike before heading inside to work with a trainer.

The Giants face the Dallas Cowboys Sunday at MetLife Stadium with Eli Manning at quarterback.

Shepard is second on the team in receptions (41) and yards (538). He has missed four games this season dealing with an ankle injury and migraines. He injured his ankle in the same game that saw Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall, and Dwayne Harris suffer season-ending injuries.

Linebacker and defensive captain Jonathan Casillas (neck/wrist), defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul (finger), and offensive lineman Chad Wheeler (concussion) also missed Wednesday’s practice.

The Giants did get some good news Wednesday regarding offensive lineman Justin Pugh. Pugh has missed the last three games with a back injury but he participated in Wednesday’s practice. Pugh said last week that there was a chance he would return for the Cowboys game. So far, Pugh is heading in the right direction and will start at the right tackle spot against Dallas if there are no setbacks.
