The Jets were defeated 31-19 by the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. It is safe to say some units out-performed others. Here’s a look at how each unit played:

Bryce Petty

Key Stats: 19/39, 179 yds, 1 TD, 2 INTNotes: The Jets really never gave him much opportunity. They kept the offense in the hands of others for as long as possible. Hard to argue that decision though. He missed a lot of open guys.

Final Grade: F

Matt Forte, Bilal PowellElijah McGuire

Powell- 13 att, 44 yds, 3.4 YPC, 1 TD

McGuire- 7 touches, 72 total yds, 6 YPC, 1 REC TD

Forte- 9 touches, 34 total yards, 3.4 YPC

Final Grade: B+

Wide Receivers

Robby Anderson, Jermaine Kearse, Chad Hansen

Anderson- 12 TGTS, 5 REC, 40 yds

Kearse- 5 TGTS, 3 REC, 28 yds

Hansen- 3 TGTS, 3 REC, 21 yds

Notes: Petty missed Anderson a few times, so his catch percentage is deceiving. Hard to catch passes from a backup QB.

Final Grade: D+

Tight End

Austin Seferian-Jenkins

Key Stats: 2 TGTS, 2 REC, 10 yds

Notes: He’s disappeared. This offense utilizes him way less than they should.

Entire Unit

Demario Davis: 7 TKL, 0.5 TFL

Notes: Similar to the D-Line, this unit did nothing.

Final Grade: A-

Coaching Staff

Entire Unit

294 total yds, 179 passing yds, 124 rushing yds, 30:50 TOP

Notes: I’ll give some credit. They were very careful with Petty, and the Jets were in the game for the majority of it.
