The Raiders benefit from having a huge following in the local community. Locals can grow up fans that play for their hometown team like Marshawn Lynch. Seriously, the Raiders benefit from location and an almost cult-like following across the country and even more so in California. That reason alone makes the Raiders one of the luckiest teams in the country, because if they were not where they are and who they are, they almost certainly would not have been able to land Beast Mode himself.

Lynch came out of retirement and everyone had a different take on it. Some thought he left his best days in Seattle. Meanwhile, others hoped for the second coming of Beast Mode. Earlier in 2017, Lynch look finished. Yet, since the midway point in the season, he regained his burst. That fact entered the national thought pattern against the Dallas Cowboys.

Lynch ran well, against a good Dallas run defense. His final stat line, 16-76 with a long of 19 yards. Lynch brings a jolt to his runs. In addition, it took the whole Dallas defense to bring him down. Lynch has been a godsend for the team this season and a steadying force in a turbulent season. The Raiders regained their edge, attitude, and swagger.
In addition, Lynch was not the only Raider to get in on the action. Derek Carr finished as the second-leading rusher for the Raiders. Carr gained forty-seven yards on four carries, including a 32-yard scamper. He showed off his wheels on broken plays and looked fluid in the process. DeAndre Washington tallied two rushes for three yards in total. Moreover, Cordarrelle Patterson had one rush for -4 yards.

Again, the Raiders backfield belongs to Lynch until he decides that it is not. Lynch has one more year left on his deal, if he chooses to return next year. If that is the case, the Raiders can wait to draft his replacement. Furthermore, judging by the way he has ran this season; he still has more gas in the tank. Sooner or later, the Raiders offense will return to form and Lynch play a huge part. Whether or not he decides to stay for another year remains to be seen. Lynch is the perfect piece for the Raiders right now.
