The Lions will be looking for their third-straight victory when they take on the Bengals this afternoon. Detroit needs help to get in the playoffs, yet they can help themselves by taking care of business and moving to 9-6 on the season. Let’s check out what our Full Press Lions staff thinks will happen in today’s game.
Lions 27, Bengals 19
The Cincinnati Bengals are not a very good team. I expect the Lions to take an early lead and dominate throughout, but then give away a score or two and let the Bengals back in. However, the Lions will respond and close out the game late, keeping their ever-so-slim playoff hopes alive.
Lions 27, Bengals 14
Must win games are always more fun. I think the Lions come out ready to go and play well from start to finish. Also, Darius Slay is lockdown and I expect him to dominate yet again in his matchup with Bengals receiver A.J. Green.
Lions 28, Bengals 9
Running back Joe Mixon is out of concussion protocol for the Cincinnati Bengals, but the Lions defense should be able to hold him this week. The offensive line is still in disarray for the Lions and protecting Matt Stafford is a must with linebacker Vontaze Burfict and cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick back on the field.
Lions 30, Bengals 20
Detroit’s playoff hopes hinge on the Falcons, but they can’t overlook a Bengals team that’s coming off of two ugly losses. If Cincinnati has any pride at all, they will show up for this one and try to end their disappointing season on a high note. Despite a competitive game early, Detroit will pull away in the fourth quarter by double-digits.
