The secret is out and it’s finally been announced by NFLUK that the Los Angeles Chargers will be playing against the Tennessee Titans, at Wembley Stadium, in 2018.
The, then San Diego, Chargers last played abroad in 2008, when they lost to New Orleans Saints, in the same Stadium.
Full Press Coverage were made aware of the fixture between the two AFC teams earlier this week. That was solidified this morning by multiple reports.
There had been a lot speculation surrounding the opponent the Bolts would travel over with, but feeling has always been that it would be a home fixture for the team. That was confirmed by the Chargers, after sending out emails to season ticket holders, telling them the team would give up home games in 2018 and 2019. I’d imagine they would look to host a game in Mexico, if they could for 2019. The Rams requested that of the NFL this year.
Division rivals Oakland Raiders, and Denver Broncos had been rumored to be LA’s opponent, however those would eventually fall flat.
The Raiders, however, will make an appearance hosting Seattle.
The Full Schedule:
