DeLuca has a motor and always finds himself around the football. He has great footwork and moves down the line well. Has enough speed to stay with most tight ends and running backs. When in coverage, DeLuca has the ball skills to make plays. Showed progress over time with pass rushing ability.
He needs to get stronger to play inside. DeLuca relies too heavily on arm tackling which shows up against larger runners. Does not have elite speed at position and will have issues with more athletic receivers. Will need to prove his ability to consistently play against tougher competition.
