Washington Redskins fans aren’t ticked that they received an older version of Kirk Cousins. Redskins fans aren’t mad that they had to give up a third-round draft pick for Alex Smith. Instead ‘Skins fans are ticked off that Bruce Allen and Dan Snyder are up to their old tricks, but that should not surprise anyone.
Their [Snyder and Allen] old, scummy tricks now involves the top-graded slot corner in the league according to Bleacher Report, Kendall Fuller.
The 22-year-old was coming off his second year with Washington and it was quite the turn around no one saw coming. In his first season with the Redskins, in six games started, Fuller had two pass deflections, 32 tackles with eight tackles being assisted.
In his second year with the organization, Fuller appeared in the same amount of games as he did in his first year, but all of his games were at corner. What a difference a new position makes. He tallied four interceptions, 10 pass deflections, one forced fumble and 42 tackles and 12 of those being assisted.
You may ask, how was Fuller lowballed then … well, thanks for asking.
Fuller took to social media debunking the trade rumors that he was being traded to the Chiefs:
Mannnnn im safe! I ain’t get traded
— Kendall Fuller (@KeFu11er) January 31, 2018
Fuller was told he would not be traded, but then Adam Schefter and Field Yates debunked that:
In Alex Smith trade, Chiefs will receive third-round pick And CB Kendall Fuller, per @FieldYates. So there’s the trade.

Source: the player being sent to the Chiefs in the Alex Smith trade is Redskins CB Kendall Fuller.

The aftermath
Fuller finally found out he would be traded to Kansas City for Alex Smith:

According to a source who told us at Full Press Coverage, Fuller went to the front office to ask first hand if he was being traded to Kansas City and was told he was safe, hint the tweet of him saying he was safe and was not being traded.
After the reports started to implode like a out of control mud slide, the Redskins had to tell Fuller he was indeed the “unnamed player” being sent to Chiefs. Hint his tweet about finding out he was the player being shipped off.
Redskins players reactions:
It’s been a pleasure, my friend @KeFu11er
I have a lot of respect for you. The Chiefs are getting a hell of a player. Because what you do, leading up to Sundays, is what makes you special
Talent is everywhere. But not the intangibles a guy like you brings to the table
