The NFL released the preseason slate of games on Wednesday afternoon. Here is what we can expect in the lead up to the regular season.
The Redskins will be traveling to Foxboro, MA to face off against Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. It is unlikely we will see anything beyond a series from the starters in this game. But, it will be fun to see how the defensive line attacks a Super Bowl caliber offense early. Date and time of game TBA, but will be seen on NBC4/NBC Sports Washington.
We will see the New York Jets come to Landover, MD. This New York team could be breaking in their newly drafted Quarterback. We may see the starters playing time get extended through the end of the first quarter and that’s it. Therefore, I do not suspect them to play too deep into the first half. August 16 at 8 PM on ESPN.

The Redskins will see Su’a Cravens make his unceremonious return to Washington with the Denver Broncos. The third game of the preseason is when we will see a majority of the game played by the starting line-up. We will get a taste of what to expect with Alex Smith at the helm, and how the offensive line will hold up against a top-tier defense. Date and time of game TBA, but will be seen on NBC4/NBC Sports Washington.
The final preseason game could be an interesting one. The Redskins will travel to Baltimore for their annual game against the Ravens. More will be made out of the match-up because Robert Griffin III could see significant playing time since he will be backing up Joe Flacco. What is usually a terrible game to watch will have some intrigue to see how Griffin has learned from his past mistakes. August 30th with the time TBA. The game can be seen on NBC4/NBC Sports Washington.
