2018 Titans 1st Round Prospect
Name: Calvin Ridley
40-yard dash: 4.44
Projected Round: 1st Round
I have been watching highlights from WR’s because I believe the Titans need to add one through the draft this year. Calvin Ridley has first round WR talent. His ability to create separation with his quick and shifty feet is unmatched for his size. He reminds me of Chad OchoCinco in that sense.
Good In A Crowd
I noticed he also likes to fight for the ball and catch it at its highest peak. When he goes up for the ball in a crowd, he has high odds of coming down with it. I think he fits in well with the Titans alongside Corey Davis and Rishard Matthews. Leaving Taywon Taylor & Tajae Sharpe as good depth at the position.
Calvin Ridley would best fit as the primary slot receiver for the Titans. He would be a great young replacement for Eric Decker who was the Titans slot receiver last year. Decker struggled getting separation which shouldn’t be an issue for Ridley at all. He has all the attributes to accel in the slot for the Titans and allow Corey Davis and Rishard Matthews stay out wide with Delanie Walker at Tight End.
Mariota having Calvin Ridley on the field creates a great aerial attack that can open a lot up for the offense through the air and on the ground. Having a great receiving core relaxes the defense from stacking the box against the run. Titans have Dion Lewis and Derek Henry to dominate the groundwork and compliment the aerial attack Mariota can create having Ridley, Davis, Matthews, and Walker to throw too.
Calvin Ridley is a first-round prospect who has a possibility of dropping to the twenty-fifth overall pick to the Tennessee Titans. I project Ridley going between the nineteenth and twenty-ninth overall pick in the first round of the 2018 draft.
