With the 2018 NFL Draft set to kickoff (pun intended) tomorrow, the Washington Redskins have several options they need to address with their 13th overall pick. Some say they go with a running back, others say a defensive tackle and on some mocks they have Washington taking a safety.
The names that have been linked to the Redskins have been defensive tackles Vita Vea from Washington and Da’Ron Payne from Alabama. The Skins have also been rumored to possibly select running back Derrius Guice from LSU. With the safety position there are two liable options in Minkah Fitzpatrick from Alabama or Derwin James from Florida State.
Here’s what the Full Press Coverage Redskins staff had to say on who the Skins should draft on April 26.
Alan Lepore:

Vita Vea is who the Redskins will take at 13. He is the top DT on the board and a need they have to fill in order to improve their front 7 and their 32nd ranked rush defense from 2017. My dark horse is Da’Ron Payne, though he is start to not be as much these days. He is my dark horse only because Vea could be off the board at 11 with the Dolphins needing to fill the hole that was left when they released Suh and there is a huge talent drop off at the DT position after him. The Redskins may trade back to acquire picks and still get Payne.
Ian Cummings:

With the No. 13 pick, the Washington Redskins select… Louisville CB Jaire Alexander. While Minkah Fitzpatrick and Derwin James could fall by chance, such a thing is dangerous to assume. If the Redskins have to stay put at No. 13, and then there are a number of ways they could go. All, however, have their flaws. A less renowned option is Alexander, who, at 5-foot-10, 196, has the perfect size to fill the void in the slot for the Redskins. He’s tough, physical, and athletic, and although he has an injury history, his polish and potential in the Redskins young, ascending defense should be more than enough to warrant his selection here. With CB now locked up, the Redskins can draft an explosive RB in Round 2, and a solid rotational lineman in Round 4 or 5.
JW Gravley:

With the No. 13 pick, the Washington Redskins select, DT Vita Vea from Washington. Honestly believe he fills the hole the Skins need more so than Da’Ron Payne would or anyone else on the board at the DT position. However, with the Dolphins needing a solid DT they could select Vea with their 11th overall pick, therefore, my dark horse would be S Derwin James from Florida State. Others say the Skins take RB Derrius Guice from LSU with the 13th pick, but I see the Skins going with other skill sets in the later rounds of the draft. Their main needs are on defense and that is where they should focus their attention.
