Los Angeles Chargers have selected USC LB Uchenna Nwosu in the second round of the NFL Draft. Former Chargers star LaDainian Tomlinson announced the 48th overall pick.

The interest in Nwosu has been public for a long time.
Last season, Nwosu had 75 tackles with 11.5 tackles for a loss, 9.5 sacks, one interception and 13 passes broken up.
He played a mix of EDGE and strong-side linebacker, but seemed better suited to a 3-4 system, than the Chargers 4-3 defense. He could bring versatility to the team but looks set to challenge Kyle Emanuel at the SAM linebacker position.
