With the NFL Draft officially over and undrafted free agents inking contracts with their pro football teams respectively, it is time to unveil the over/under for the Washington Redskins 2018 season.
According to Vegas, they have the Skins at an ugly 26/1 odds to win the NFC Conference. Who’s behind them? Tampa Bay (28/1), Arizona Cardinals and Chicago Bears (40/1).
NFC East Odds:
The New York Giants, who had one of the worst seasons in recent history last year (3-13) are ahead of the Redskins with 22/1 odds, ranking them 12th out of the 16 NFC teams. Next is the Dallas Cowboys with 14/1 odds but without Dez Bryant, those odds may drop, especially near the end zone. Finally, the Eagles are the favorites with a 5/1 odd to win the NFC Championship.
Over/Under (8) Wins:
To be honest, looking at the schedule should hurt your eyes, literally. It is brutal … very brutal. However, if you are a Skins fan, you should be excited. A tough schedule will show just how good this team is and if they are prepared for the future as well.
Mark your calendars, the #Redskins‘ 2018 schedule has dropped!

Look, I get it, their schedule is tough, but barring injuries (not making excuses) this team can win and should win more than eight games this season.
Predicted Schedule Wins/Losses:
- Away: Arizona Cardinals: WIN
- Home: Indianapolis Colts: WIN
- Home: Green Bay Packers: LOSS
- Away: New Orleans Saints: LOSS
- Home: Carolina Panthers: WIN
- Home: Dallas: WIN
- Away: New York Giants: WIN
- Home: Atlanta Falcons: LOSS
- Away: Tampa Bay Buccaneers: WIN
- Home: Houston Texans: WIN
- Away: Dallas: LOSS
- Away: Philadelphia Eagles: LOSS
- Home: New York Giants: WIN
- Away: Jacksonville Jaguars: WIN — ** UPSET PICK **
- Away: Tennessee Titans: WIN
- Home: Philadelphia Eagles: LOSS
There you have it. 10 wins.
I understand that several of you will be surprised by the 10-win season, but it can happen. As you see above they are predicted to defeat the Jaguars as an upset pick. Do not be surprised if they beat a team like Atlanta or Green Bay either, also do not be surprised if they lose games they are supposed to win, that is why they are projected for now to lose against New Orleans.
This upcoming season looks to be a good one and seems to be a season where everyone will be competing for a starting job, no matter if they are a high draft pick, undrafted free agent, Mr. Irrelevant or a 10-year veteran. No one’s job is safe within the Redskins organization this season meaning anyone can be replaced at anytime and that even includes Jay Gruden.
