With the 15th overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft, the Texas Rangers have selected Cole Winn a right-handed pitcher from Orange Lutheran High School in California.
Winn has three plus pitches. His fastball being his best weapon and he holds an improved slider with a lot of life. He is also not afraid to throw a changeup when need be.
In 70 innings this year Winn has an astounding ERA of 0.20. He held his opponents to a .120 batting average and also managed to strike out 120 batters while only walking 11.

Winn was considered the best prospect from the SoCal area this year and saw a jump in stock during the spring.
In the Texas system the Winn should slot in as the 4th best prospect in the farm and will immediately become the best pitching prospect in the system.
