It’s back to football for the Lions and head coach Matt Patricia after a dramatic couple of weeks. This morning, Patricia met with the press to discuss the start of the Lions’ 2018 minicamp practices.
Patricia, a first-year head coach, spoke a little bit about what both he and the players are expecting to get out of minicamp.
“We’re trying to do the best we can in trying to cram as much information as possible in what we are allowed to do,” said Patricia. “It’s a great opportunity for us to get a further evaluation of everything that we’re doing right now in the spring from the standpoint of, just, the players themselves, to learning the fundamentals, to the installation.”
It’s clear he intends to get as much out of these minicamp practices as allowed by the NFL, which should come as welcome news to the Lions fanbase. Watch Patricia’s press conference in its entirety below, as it was tweeted from Detroit Lions’ official Twitter account.
