LeBron James has reportedly agreed to a four year, $154M contract with the Lakers. This came with little surprise, as many expected James to take his talents to the city of Angels. This move gives the Lakers a massive boon signing the best player in the NBA does.

The Lakers still have cap space to sign a second star, likely Pelicans’ center DeMarcus Cousins. Pairing those two together would form a duo that few could stop. Trading for Kawhi Leonard will still be on the table but I doubt San Antonio gives him up to the Lakers now.
Los Angeles is immediately a title contender but I wouldn’t put them ahead of Golden State or Houston. The future looks bright in Los Angeles.
