The New York Giants (as well as the other 31 NFL teams) will trim their roster from 90 players to 53 players by 4:00 PM EDT on Saturday.
Unlike recent years, the Giants will have more linebackers on the team and less defensive lineman since they’ve switched to a 3-4 scheme. Here’s my projection of who the Giants’ 53 players will be:
OFFENSE

Running back: Saquon Barkley, Wayne Gallman, Jonathan Stewart, Robert Martin
Fullback: Shane Smith
Tight end: Evan Engram, Rhett Ellison, Jerell Adams

Left tackle: Nate Solder, Chad Wheeler
Left guard: Will Hernandez
Center: Jon Halapio, John Greco
Right guard: Patrick Omameh, John Jerry
Right tackle: Ereck Flowers, Nick Becton
DEFENSE
Left defensive end: B.J. Hill, Kerry Wynn
Nose tackle: Damon Harrison, Robert Thomas
Right defensive end: Dalvin Tomlinson, Josh Mauro
Left outside linebacker: Kareem Martin, Connor Barwin
Inside linebacker: Alec Ogletree, B.J. Goodson, Ray-Ray Armstrong
