Coming off of an emotional win against the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Titans fell flat. There is no sugar coating a loss like this. Contenders don’t lose this game, they don’t look past their opponent like the Titans just did. It’s not a good look for a team that is begging for more public attention. Well, guys, you got it! Losing to the Buffalo Bills will sure get you that media attention you’ve been longing for. The respect aspect? Yeah, that’s going to take some more time now. In games like this, it can be hard to leave with any kind of positive takeaway. Have no fear, Mr. Irrelevant is here!

Offensive Titan of the Week 5…..Kinda

On the offensive side of the ball, there isn’t much to talk about. The Titans have been absolutely atrocious on the road so far this season. That trend continued on Sunday against the Bills. Other than a couple plays, no one is even worth mentioning for their performance. Mariota had an impressive leap and duck late in the fourth quarter for a first down. His receivers certainly didn’t help him throughout the day though. So, that brings me to our offensive player of the week. Yup, you guessed it, it’s Ryan Succop.

Mr. Irrelevant himself made field goals from 25, 54, 39 and 50 yards out on Sunday to provide the Titans with their only points of the game. Succop was 4/4 on the day and is now 13/14 on the season. I can’t confirm this theory, but I’m starting to think that Succop is just a robot sent to this planet to kick field goals for the Tennessee Titans. Succop’s only miss this year came in the game against Jacksonville when he missed a 48-yard field goal wide right to end the first half.

A Quick Reflection

Let’s be honest with ourselves, this was a bad loss. Losing to the Bills is not a good look. Let’s try and take a positive out of it though, we don’t have to worry about our kicker. Succop is as good as they come, and that’s a bright spot in our cloud of darkness. Bright spot or not, I sincerely hope that I never have to write a Ryan Succop player of the week article again. Kickers are important and all, but the Titans should not be relying on Succop to keep them in games.

This upcoming week is an important bounce-back game against the Baltimore Ravens. What will the Titans be able to fix in just a week? Here’s to hoping everything is figured out. #TitanUp
