Going into Sunday’s matchup, the Los Angeles Chargers were actually listed as one point underdogs to the Cleveland Browns.

However, that prediction did not hold true. In the Chargers most dominant win of the season, Los Angeles performed nearly perfectly in all three phases of the game.

Standout Players

Tyrell Williams: Racking in three receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns, Tyrell Williams was the perfect deep threat that the Chargers needed today. Williams even came down with a 50-50 ball versus triple coverage that resulted in a 45-yard touchdown.

Desmond King: Known as a great run-stopping cornerback, Desmond King racked two interceptions on the day which played a big role in the Chargers dismantling of Cleveland’s hope.

Melvin Gordon: By the end of this game, Melvin Gordon had 18 carries for 132 yards and three touchdowns. Averaging 7.3 yards per game, the Browns had no answer for Los Angeles’ running attack. If Gordon continues this dominance, he will enjoy easily the best season of his career.

Players That Struggled

Baker Mayfield: Honestly I could have put the entire Browns roster on this list but because Mayfield is the quarterback, we’ll discuss his struggles. Through four quarters of play, Mayfield finished 22-46 for 238 yards, two interceptions and one touchdown which came in garbage time. Now obviously Mayfield is a very young player and he’s going to have some rookie struggles, but if Cleveland wants to compete for a playoff spot this year, Mayfield is going to have to step up.
