The Cleveland Browns finally know when all of their remaining nine games will kick off. The Browns have been waiting about a start time for the week 15 match up against the Denver Broncos at Broncos Stadium at Mile High.

Cleveland now has a second prime time game in 2018. The NFL announced Wednesday the kickoff is slated for 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, December 15. The game airs on NFL Network.

The Browns will be the night cap of an NFL doubleheader on that Saturday in week 15. Cleveland and Denver will follow the Houston Texans at New York Jets game.

The decision to make the Browns and Broncos game the late game on December 15 makes sense. The game would kick off at 6:20 p.m. mountain time. Denver is accustom to being in the late window of NFL games when they play at home.

The prime time meeting will allow a national television audience to see the battle for the NFL defensive rookie of the year. The Browns Denzel Ward and the Broncos Bradley Chubb will be two of the top candidates for the award based on the starts of their NFL careers.

Ward leads the NFL in interceptions with three. Chubb is near the top in sacks. The game also features three of the top five overall picks in the 2018 NFL Draft. Baker Mayfield along with Ward and Chubb.

Is a second prime time game a good thing for a young Browns team. Of course it is. The NFL is recognizing the fact the Browns are improving. After going 0-16 in 2017, Cleveland has been competitive in six of the first seven games. In addition, four of those games have gone to overtime.

So we’ll see if the decision turns out to benefit the Browns going forward. Cleveland faces a difficult schedule over its next three games before the week eleven bye week.
