Todd Haley is once again looking for work in the National Football League. The winds of change are blowing through the Cleveland Browns training facility again. This time the ax has fallen on two members of the coaching staff.
Just an hour or so after head coach Hue Jackson is relieved of his duties, Haley is fired as the Browns offensive coordinator. Freddie Kitchens replaces Haley as offensive coordinator.

Haley joined the Browns this season after serving the previous six seasons in the same role for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The offense really struggled over the last four games. It is clear there was tension between Haley and Jackson in regards to how the offense is being run.
Both coaches said they were on the same page leading up to Sunday’s 33-18 loss to the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Jackson expressed his desire to get more involved in the play calling following the week seven loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The tensions didn’t begin in the last couple of weeks. You could sense there were issues between the two all the way back in training camp. The Hard Knocks jinx strikes again.
During one of the episodes, HBO featured a segment where the entire coaching staff is in a meeting. Haley is shown criticizing Jackson for giving certain players days off during training camp. It is a clear example of what was to come for the first eight weeks of the NFL regular season.
