Irvin is now reunited with Dan Quinn who was his defensive coordinator at Seattle for 2013 and 2014. With his two seasons with Quinn, Irvin recorded 88 tackles, 8.5 sacks, five passes defended, and two touchdowns. The D-line will greatly benefit from the signing of Irvin as it adds veteran experience to a young group, much like what the Falcons did by signing Dwight Freeney a couple years ago. It should also motivate players like Vic Beasley, as if he doesn’t start stepping up soon, Irvin could take his job away.
So with all that, welcome to the Falcons Bruce Irvin. We as fans feel very confident you will achieve great things while you’re here.
