The Houston Texans have roared back into first place after starting 0-3. The Titans and Jaguars were the favorites early, but both have lost three straight games and fallen out of first place. The Jaguars now have to bounce back in London against the defending champs, while the Titans get a week off to try and figure it out. The Colts finally won their second game last week and are lurking just two games back of Houston. The AFC South is truly anybody’s division right now heading into Week 8.

Current Standings

Houston Texans 4-3, 2-1 in division

Tennessee Titans 3-4, 2-0 in division

Jacksonville Jaguars 3-4, 0-2 in division

Indianapolis Colts 2-5, 0-1 in division

Miami Dolphins at Houston Texans (Thursday)

The Texans are on a roll right now with four consecutive wins. They get the Miami Dolphins who are missing their starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill. The Dolphins sit at 4-3, but haven’t really looked like an above .500 team throughout the season. The Texans finally got a big win last week on the road in Jacksonville. Deandre Hopkins has looked like the best receiver in football and the defense is starting to play well.

Home teams almost always have the advantage on Thursday Night Football. This game will not be an exception as the Texans roll to 5-3 and hold control of the AFC South heading into the second half of the season.

Prediction: Texans 34 Dolphins 14

Philadelphia Eagles at Jacksonville Jaguars (London)

Two teams head to London looking to get back to .500 and stop their fans from panicking. The Eagles blew a 17 point lead in the fourth quarter against Carolina last week while the Jaguars lost their third straight game by double digits. Both teams need a win in London this weekend in order to stay in their division race.

The Jaguars seem to dominate in London no matter how bad they’ve been playing in the states. Blake Bortles is also fighting for his job, so he will have some extra motivation to prove himself Sunday. The Jaguars will finally bounce back while the Eagles fall further and further from defending their title.

Prediction: Jaguars 27 Eagles 24

Indianapolis Colts at Oakland Raiders

The Colts beat up on the Bills last week and finally were able to shake off their losing streak. This week they get a team equally in turmoil to try to improve their record again. Oakland is 1-5 and recently traded Amari Cooper, probably their best offensive weapon.

This game is in Oakland, but Andrew Luck will be able to do enough against a mediocre Raiders defense. Luck was able to keep games competitive without his number one weapon, T.Y. Hilton. Now that he has returned from injury, that connection will only continue to get stronger. The Colts win and improve to 3-5, and the decision to re-hire Jon Gruden gets a little more questionable.

Prediction: Colts 31 Raiders 13
