This weekend the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-6) welcome an iconic franchise to TIAA Bank Field.

A team that has been the definition of consistency for the past ten years, not just in the AFC North, but the entire NFL. That’s right, the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2-1) are visiting Jacksonville on Sunday.

The stadium will be littered with passionate Steeler fans waving “Terrible Towels” in support of the AFC North leaders. The Steelers have several talented players on offense, including future Hall of Fame quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and a couple of young guns, running back James Conner and wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. However, the Steelers also have the luxury of lining up the NFL’s best wide receiver in Antonio Brown as a primary option.

This week Brown will be matched up against the NFL’s best cornerback in Jalen Ramsey. It is time for football fans to get the popcorn ready and to sit back and enjoy.

2017 Showdowns

The Jaguars and Steelers faced off twice in the 2017 season with Jacksonville coming out with victories in October and again in the AFC Divisional Round in January.

Last year, the Jacksonville defense dominated the first meeting by forcing five Roethlisberger interceptions. In the second showdown, it was the offense that outscored the Steelers.

Much to the disappointment of football fans, the two Pro-Bowlers were not matched up against one another as often as anticipated.

Statistically, Brown has come out on top as he’s caught nine of 13 passes for 155 yards, averaging an impressive 17.22 yards per catch against Ramsey. However, Brown has yet to score a touchdown against Ramsey, while Ramsey has tallied one interception on passes thrown Brown’s way.

With the Jaguars stumbling through the 2018 season, this will more than likely be the only time the two Pro-Bowlers will face off this season.

To Be The Man You Got To Beat The Man

Unfortunately, Sunday’s game was flexed out of from the NBC Sunday Night Football primetime slot and the nation will miss out on the battle between two of the NFL’s greats.

However, if you get an opportunity to witness Brown and Ramsey lined up across from each other Sunday, the matchup will surely not disappoint. As a fan, if you are looking for brash and bold, they have it. If you are looking for talent and technique, they have it. If you are looking for grit and the gift of gab, they have it. If your are looking for speed and skill, they have it.

If you are looking for a savvy veteran and an outspoken youngster, be sure to tune in. Tune in for competition at it’s highest peak on a NFL gridiron as both Brown and Ramsey duel in Jacksonville, Florida.
