The Patriots took some hits in the injury department after losing to the Tennessee Titans in week ten. There were a number of players who suffered minor injuries in Sunday’s game against the Titans and it doesn’t come at a better time to heal than the bye week.

The bye week will be most useful to tight end Rob Gronkowski who missed the game on Sunday due to a nagging back injury and ankle injury. These injuries have been a problem for Gronkowski the entire season and the numbers back that up. He hopefully should return to practice and continue his rehab and get healthy for the home stretch of the regular season.

Wide receiver Julian Edelman left Sundays game with an ankle injury. Edelman has been dealing with this injury all year, but found a way to play with it and have productive games for the Patriots all year long. The bye week will allow the ankle to heal and get healthier as he is a trusted receiver for quarterback Tom Brady.

Other notable injuries included offensive linemen Trent Brown who was hurt twice during the game. Eventually he exited the game for good with a back injury. Tight end Dwayne Allen left in the third quarter with a knee injury which seemed to effective him in a serious matter, but he walked off the field under his own power.
