The Cleveland Browns have cracked open a six pack of candidates for its next head coach. More interviews will take place this coming week. So just how many interviews will take place before a decision is made?
“We will find out,” general manager John Dorsey said. “This is a hard process, and that is why you have to be prepared, you have to be detailed and you have to be able to listen. So at the end of the day, you just have to sit and talk through things and make sure this is the proper way that we move forward.”
Six is a very popular number in regards to the Browns search for its next head coach. Following Sunday’s interview with Matt Eberflus, we found out there are six members of the Browns organization conducting the interviews.
Eberflus is currently the defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts. The Browns had to interview him Sunday. The Colts get set to prepare for the AFC divisional playoffs against the Kansas City Chiefs this coming Saturday. Eberflus served as the Browns linebackers coach in 2009 thru 2010.
As for other coaching candidates interviewed by the Browns, the list includes the following.
Current offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens will get his chance to impress his current bosses this week as well.
In addition to those candidates, expect the Browns to meet with Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.
