Field Vision: Excellent field vision. Always seems to go to the right places, and knows where he needs to go. Very solid runner. Moves to space. Extremely intense runner. 23/24.
Speed/Athleticism: Very fast and athletic. Might be a 4.4 guy. Really good player. Outruns secondaries once he gets the space. Looks super fast, legs are pumping. 17/18.
Receiving Skills: Excellent receiver. Lines up wide as a receiver, can catch in traffic, make one handed catches, and runs crisp, consistent routes. Can contribute to a team in a plethora of ways in the passing game. 15/15.
Burst/Acceleration: Good burst and acceleration. Seems to have one gear, and that’s go. Always going at full speed and full intensity. 11/13.
Power/Balance: Good power runner and incredible balance. Contact balance is incredible. Bounces through the hole with intensity and always falls forward. Excellent when going downhill. Often times delivers more punishment than the defenders. 11/12.
Blocking: Good blocker. Can hold down the pocket with ease. Has the strength to hold defenders while upright. 8/10.
Leadership/Attitude: Not so much a leader, but excellent attitude. Very good player. Incredibly intense and plays with a huge chip on his shoulder. 6/8.
Overall: Josh Jacobs is going to be one hell of an NFL running back. Was clearly the best RB at Alabama during his tenure there, but was used more as a finishing back. Got more playing time in a crowded backfield in 2018. Jacobs will fit in any scheme as a bell cow RB and can take the brunt of the offensive work for several season to come. 91/100.
I love this kid. Very honest. Very chill guy. He will have no issues in an NFL locker room. What a breath of fresh air. (+3).
