Strength/Intensity: Underrated strength. Impressive push when he needs it, has the ability to bull rush tackles and push them back a few steps. Very intense player, Plays with his hair on fire. 19/22.

Hand Technique/Finesse: Incredible bend. Uses his hand technique very well, and is a very good speed rusher around the edge. Has a really good inside spin move that is devastating. 20/20.

Burst/Explosiveness: Very explosive. Excellent after the first step. That first step is the plant that allows him to make his next move. Doesn’t pop off the tape. So incredibly athletic and fast. 17/18.

Run Defense/Tackling: Good run defender, sets the edge well and plays with a good discipline. Good tackler as well, goes low which might be a problem in the NFL at times. 13/18.

FBI/Versatility: Not very versatile. Polite is mostly a pass rushing specialist. Doesn’t offer too much to coverage. I think he best suits a 3-4 defense as an OLB, but you might be able to get him as a five technique in as a 4-3 DE. Needs to be more aware of the game around him and play to the whistle. 7/12.

Leadership/Attitude: Passionate player. Good teammate. When he’s into a play, he’s absolutely incredible. Needs to play through the whistle. 8/10.

Overall: I really love the skill set that Polite brings to an NFL team. He’s an absolute monster as a pass rusher, and can provide a team some run support. However, because of his lack of frame and real size, he is limited to a certain degree on how versatile he can actually be. He will need to be schemed into a defense correctly to be the player he was at Florida. 84/100.

Personality Assessment:

Very very bright and energetic person. Very likable guy. Infectious smile. Enjoyable guy to have a conversation with, even if he doesn’t speak in a well educated manner. (+3).

Stats:

Career: 29 Games, 78 Tkls, 28.5 TFL, 15 Sks, 8 FF, 4 PDs.
