CM Punk Returns at Indy Show

Former WWE Champion CM Punk made his return to wrestling this past weekend. Punk, donning a mask, ran in at MKE Wrestling in West Allis, Wisconsin. He hit his GTS finishing move during his run-in. This was confirmed on twitter by wrestler Silas Young

Last night we held @MKE_Wrestling at the Knights of Columbus building in west allis the place was packed with 350 people. This place has had 25+ years of wrestling and is the place a lot of guys started. Guys like @ColtCabana as well as a Punk who showed up in a mask last night

As the weekend progressed, it was reported that Punk has done this multiple times before (h/t Robbie Fox of Barstool).

Cody vs Dustin Rhodes Booked for AEW

One of the heads of All Elite Wrestling has his big match for Double or Nothing set. Cody will go one on one with his brother, Dustin Rhodes, on May 25th. Rhodes, formerly known as Goldust in WWE, had the match made official on Road to Double or Nothing’s most recent episode.

Rhodes is framing the match with Cody as “one last ride” and mentions his issues with Cody’s attitude. Rhodes also said goodbye to his Goldust persona on twitter.

New Faction Forming in NXT UK

An old faction from wXw is reforming in NXT UK (h/t Ryan Satin of ProWrestlingSheet). Lead by NXT UK Champion WALTER, a version of Ringkampf has formed including Marcel Barthel, Fabian Aichner, and a debuting Alexander Wolfe. The new group goes by the name Imperium and debuted at the most recent set of NXT UK tapings.

Imperium looks to be the big threat in NXT UK going forward. The recreation of such a popular stable from wXw should also bring in more interested eyes to the yellow brand’s UK branch.
