Money in the Bank is an opportunity to launch a talent into the main event picture. It has sparked the main event runs of names like CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler, and Seth Rollins. The last few men’s Money in the Bank winners have been disappointing. Braun Strowman’s cash-in was a no contest, and Baron Corbin looked like an absolute buffoon when he cashed in on Jinder Mahal after being distracted by John Cena.
Who are five men who could take the Money in the Bank contract and make the most of it? Who could use it as a launching pad to the main event? Or who could use the cash-in to get back to the World Championship level.
Insufferable Sami Zayn has starred in the past few weeks on Monday Night Raw. His new attitude despising fans has been extremely irritating and effective in getting fans to boo him. Imagining him holding on to the briefcase and mocking the fans’ excitement about a cash-in would be wonderful to see. Zayn has never held a world title in the WWE, and having him win his first by sneakily ending the popular reign of Seth Rollins would ensure Zayn’s top heel status for the future.
Speaking of the future, Andrade is the future of the WWE. He has the look, the charisma, and the in-ring chops. With business manager Zelina Vega by his side, he would get a huge boost from a Money in the Bank win. Vega toting the briefcase around and threatening to cash in at the most opportune moment would fit right in with their characters. It could make Andrade the next big Latino star for WWE, and that would be very tranquilo.

This is the choice on the list that would be the “fast cash-in” option. Samoa Joe is someone who does not waste time (example: one minute destruction of Rey Mysterio at Wrestlemania). Joe could lose his United States Championship to Braun Strowman and move one rung up the card and take the Universal Championship from Seth Rollins. He’s a believable threat with World Championship pedigree from TNA and Ring of Honor. Plus, an extended feud with Seth Rollins into Summerslam could be the electric feud the Universal Championship has sorely been lacking.
Of everyone on this list, Daniel Bryan needs the rub of having the briefcase the least. He’s a former world champion and only lost the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania. It would be interesting to see the “New” Daniel Bryan holding a briefcase again. He had it before in 2011, and his cash-in on Big Show at TLC helped kick start his last great heel run. Now as an established heel, having Bryan carry around the contract in an eco-friendly Money in the Bank reusable bag and lurking in the shadows on SmackDown Live would make him one big threat.
The only babyface on this list, Miz has seemed steps away from the World Title level for the past few years. A former WWE Heavyweight Champion himself, Miz is a babyface who has the necessary charisma to hold the briefcase and not turn heel. Fans have been wanting to cheer Miz for awhile now and have their chance. The crowd would be hot for Miz to take the title off of a sneaky heel who upends Seth Rollins. Someone like a Baron Corbin. Miz has earned his way back into the main event conversation in WWE, and Money in the Bank could be his ticket there.
