After months of waiting and speculation, the Oakland Raiders made their first selection of the 2019 NFL. The Raiders selected DE Clelin Ferrell out of Clemson. Despite Ed Oliver and Josh Allen sitting on the board, the Raiders chose the former defensive standout

What He Does

Ferrell is a Guenther type end that play with a long, angular frame, capable of converting speed to power. In addition, he stops the run with ferocity. Immediately, Ferrell will take over one of the end spots, hoping to generate a pass rush. The Raiders tallied just 13 sacks.

Why

Questions will hound the Raiders for this selection since Ferrell could’ve fallen to him in the twenties.
