With the 34th pick in the 2019 NFL draft, the Colts didn’t trade down! They stood pat and drafted Rock Ya-Sin, cornerback out of Temple. On the surface, this pick looks like a reach, with considerable talent left on the board. However, Ya-Sin fits the Colts’ zone-heavy scheme well. His footwork and technique need work and Ya-Sin isn’t the greatest athlete. However, he excels in press man and provides a new element to the Colts’ scheme.
