Lio Rush Update

More news is circulating about Lio Rush and his backstage heat. Rush gave an interview to Fightful (h/t to WrestlingInc.com) disputing reports that he has heat backstage.

He claims the issues are wide ranging, including not being paid enough to cover his expenses for travel and not being paid for merchandise sales with his catchphrases on them. Rush may also have heat for not following backstage etiquette during a European tour in 2018. For a detailed account of Rush’s response, check it out here

Carmella Disputes John Cena Rumor

Carmella appeared on The Bellas Podcast with Nikki and Brie Bella and addressed a rumor that she dated John Cena, Nikki’s ex. Here’s what Carmella had to say (h/t to CagesideSeats for the transcription):

Nikki: Did you date my ex?
Carmella: Oh my God.
Brie: That was everywhere.
Carmella: That is the most insane rumor, because at the time that was when I broke up with my ex. And because John lives in Tampa, I lived in Tampa. Apparently he was seen out at a bar or something, so people just assumed ‘oh Carmella lives in Tampa. She must have been at that same bar’. It was so insane. I don’t know how you did it for so long.
Nikki: So tough and I never even asked because I knew. John and I were still talking at that point. We even talked about the rumors everywhere.
Carmella: Where do they come up with this ****?

Carmella is scheduled for the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match on May 19th.
