Cleveland Indians outfielder and first baseman Jake Bauers hasn’t lived up to expectations since being acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays this past off season.

The struggles has lead to chatter on social media calling for the Indians to call up power hitting lefthander prospect Bobby Bradley.

Friday night may be a turning point for the 23-year old. The lefthanded slugger hit for the cycle in the Indians 13-4 win over the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. Bauers feat was the first time since 2016 a tribe player, Rajai Davis, hit for the cycle.

Two of the hits took place in an eight-run fourth inning. Bauers singled and tripled in the inning. He doubled and drove home a run in the second inning to begin his big night.

Bauers home run to right in the top of the eighth capped off the night for both himself and his teammates.

His average jumped 13 points from .209 to .222. Bauers is the ninth player in Indians history to hit for the cycle.
