G1 Climax Blocks Announced

New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced the blocks for their annual G1 Climax Tournament. The announcement was at their Kizuna Road event on Sunday.

The blocks for the round-robin tournament are:

Block A:

  • Kazuchika Okada
  • Kota Ibushi
  • Will Ospreay
  • KENTA
  • Zack Sabre Jr.
  • Hiroshi Tanahashi
  • EVIL
  • Bad Luck Fale
  • SANADA
  • Lance Archer

Block B:

  • Juice Robinson
  • Tetsuya Naito
  • Jon Moxley
  • Jeff Cobb
  • “Switchblade” Jay White
  • Shingo Tagaki
  • Tomohiro Ishii
  • Taichi
  • Toru Yano
  • Hirooki Goto

The 29th G1 Climax begins on July 9th, with the finals on August 12th.

Raw and SmackDown Live Segments Announced

WWE has announced some segments for Raw and SmackDown on their twitter account.

Raw will have a fatal five-way match will determine the number one contender for Samoa Joe’s United States Championship. It will include all the men who came out to stake a claim last week. That includes Cesaro, Braun Strowman, The Miz, Ricochet, and Bobby Lashley. The Raw preview also says Baron Corbin will choose his special guest referee for his match against Seth Rollins. Daniel Bryan is also scheduled to appear on Raw.

 

SmackDown Live has announced a segment and a match. Bayley will be a guest on a Moment of Bliss ahead of her title defense against Alexa Bliss on Sunday at Stomping Grounds. New Day’s Xavier Woods will do battle against Dolph Ziggler. Woods’ teammate Kofi Kingston will defend his WWE Championship against Ziggler on Sunday.

 

AEW All Out Sells Out Quickly

All Out, All Elite Wrestling’s return to the Sears Centre Arena in Chicago, sold out in 15 minutes. On Friday, tickets went on sale and were quickly snapped up by fans. Some were likely bought by scalpers, but the fact remains that the August show was sold out in a quarter-hour.

The show will be headlined by two huge singles matchups. The AEW World Championship will be decided for the first time. Adam Page and Chris Jericho earned their spots in the match at Double or Nothing in May. The other big singles match pits Kenny Omega against Jon Moxley.
