Saturday night in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis, Minnesota we should see another outstanding MMA fight card. This UFC event in Minnesota is getting really good betting action, especially on the Prelim card, so don’t forgot to see those odds.
The 13-bout card from the Target Center has betting value up and down the board. The heavyweights take center stage in the main event Saturday and Junior Dos Santos faces Francis Ngannou and bigger things could be on the horizon for the winner. There is another heavyweight fight in this card and it goes early but keep an eye out for Maurice Greene who has won back-to-back UFC fights.
The co-main event between Jussier Formiga and Joseph Benavidez is an oddsmaker’s dream because as of Thursday evening some great two-way action is coming in. People forget that these two fighters have already met in the octagon way back at UFC Fight Night 28 and Benavidez took that fight in Round 1 with a KO/TKO.
We have two UFC on ESPN 3 fight previews that we are throwing out and don’t forget under the fight predictions we have the rest of the Saturday UFC fight odds from MyBookie.ag.
UFC on ESPN 3 Main Event
Heavyweight 5 Rounds
Junior Dos Santos +185
Francis Ngannou -225
Grab your seat early and pour your cocktail quickly because this heavyweight fight could end in a blink of an eye. It’s no secret that Dos Santos is an overall better boxer and fighter but let’s face it, Ngannou could and will end this fight in one powerful punch. For an oddsmaker point of view the public will most likely bet Ngannou -225 (risk $225 to cash $100) in straight bets and parlays so we will be rooting for Dos Santos. If you like the better technical fighter then take the +185 on Dos Santos (risk $100 to cash $185) but don’t blame me if one punch puts him into next week.
Predictions: Lay the heavy chalk on Francis Ngannou -225 as he will be looking for another title shot. Just don’t tell my boss I said to bet him!
Flyweight 3 Rounds
Jussier Formiga +135
Joesph Benavidez -165
Not much line movement for this revenge fight but look for the public to bet the dog on fight night. Formiga (record: 23-5) has won four straight fights and comes to Minneapolis the underdog +135 (risk $100 to cash $135) but I can guarantee he couldn’t care less about being the underdog. He just wants revenge. The southpaw Benavidez has won four out five fights and deserves to be the favorite -165 (risk $165 to cash $100) in this brawl because of the early TKO/KO he did when he first fought Formiga. Benavidez has unbelievable power in both hands and being a southpaw his right jab is devastating and most fighters forget about his right. Throw in that Benavidez has seven victories by TKO/KO and I see great value on the round proposition in this co-main event.
Prediction: Under 2.5 Rounds +220 (risk $100 to cash $220) as either Benavidez drops Formiga early again or revenge gets served early. No matter what, this fight does not see the 3rdround.
