It’s time for WWE to get extreme. Extreme Rules has rolled around again and is full of intriguing matchups. Eight different titles are on the line, and how Extreme Rules plays out will play a big role in what Summerslam will look like. Who will walk out Sunday as victors? Javier and Evan take their chances at predicting Extreme Rules 2019:

WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Tony Nese (c) vs Drew Gulak
Javier: Drew Gulak has just started his reign as champion and will continue the reign after Sunday. Gulak is the perfect guy to represent 205 Live right now and his heel run should be awesome after he disposes of Nese.
Pick – Drew Gulak
Evan: It is far too early to end the Era of Gulak. He will dispatch of Nese before moving on to a new babyface. 205 Live thrives with a babyface chasing a heel champ, so let’s keep it going a bit longer.
Pick – Drew Gulak

WWE SmackDown Live Tag team Championship: Daniel Bryan & Rowan (c) vs Heavy Machinery vs The New Day
Javier: This is going to be the most fun match of the night. Heavy Machinery are future stars in the tag team division and I fully expect Otis to get some shine, but they are just too new to win the belts. The New Day could win to pair the titles with Kofi, but I honestly don’t envision that happening. Daniel Bryan & Rowan are great together and have been fun when able to compete as champions. Their run should continue.
Pick – Daniel Bryan & Rowan
Evan: Wouldn’t it be fun to put the titles on Heavy Machinery? An early title reign can sometimes legitimize a team, but sometimes it’s too much, too soon. Looking at you, B-Team. With that, Bryan & Rowan will keep the straps.
Pick – Daniel Bryan & Rowan
Aleister Black vs Cesaro
Javier: Aleister Black is making his re-emergence on the main roster after being split from Ricochet and he should be a killer here. Cesaro is the perfect opponent to get Black the best match possible and these two are going to tear it up. Black wins because duh.
Pick – Aleister Black
Evan: We spent over a month figuring out who would pick a fight with Aleister Black. Imagine he loses the first time someone steps to him? Not a chance.
Pick – Aleister Black

WWE Raw Tag Team Championship: The Revival (c) vs The Usos
Javier: The Revival are in an interesting position as champions because they haven’t really done much but also don’t really have anybody to feud with. The tag team division on Raw is shambolic, but the Revival are the best team to head the Heyman Era, so I believe they win this one.
Pick – The Revival
Evan: Revival are getting a little bit more of a personality by rubbing shoulders with Shane McMahon. The spotlight they’re getting is hopefully a good sign that they’ll be champions for a while to come.
Pick – The Revival

WWE SmackDown Live Women’s Championship Handicap match: Bayley (c) vs Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross
Javier: It is pretty obvious that one of two things will happen here. One, Bayley wins and Sasha Banks returns to save her from a post-match beatdown. Or two, Bayley wins and Alexa and Nikki’s partnership blows up. Either way Bayley wins.
Pick – Bayley
Evan: Here’s the wrench WWE is going to throw in. I think Bliss and Cross are going to have a falling out, but it may be over who is the “true” SmackDown Live Women’s Champion. It would give what will be a great feud even higher stakes.
Pick – Bliss & Cross

Last Man Standing Match: Braun Strowman vs Bobby Lashley
Javier: Strowman looks injured and really should take some time off. Lashley could possibly be the next contender for Seth Rollins if Bray Wyatt doesn’t step up, so a win here would be great for him.
Pick – Bobby Lashley
Evan: Who needs this more? Maybe more importantly – who can’t afford this loss more? Strowman has always had up and down booking, and it may be time for him to have a more consistent upswing.
Pick – Braun Strowman

WWE United States Championship: Ricochet (c) vs A.J. Styles
Javier: This program came from out of nowhere and is really fun. It will probably continue through to SummerSlam, and because of that I think Ricochet wins this one. It will probably be with a shock pin late in the match. A win is a win.
Pick – Ricochet
Evan: The Club are going to cause all sorts of shenanigans on Raw. It won’t be over the United States Championship, though. Ricochet can work the upper midcard and keep the U.S. Title relevant. Styles can move up and start to challenge for the Universal Title.
Pick – Ricochet

No Holds Barred Match: Roman Reigns & The Undertaker vs Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre
Javier: Wow this match is really happening. Shane and Roman seemed destined for a SummerSlam match before Stone Cold Kevin Owens decided to cut a mini-pipe bomb promo and stun him straight to hell. The booking is all over the place but I don’t see Reigns and Undertaker losing so they win. Yay strange booking!
Pick – Undertaker & Reigns
Evan: As Javier said, what a weird match. Undertaker rarely loses, and Reigns is hard to bank against. When Shane loses, he can move on to being eliminated by Kevin Owens at Summerslam. Then he’ll go away, hopefully for a long time.
Pick – Undertaker & Reigns

WWE Championship: Kofi Kingston (c) vs Samoa Joe
Javier: This program has no build whatsoever and Joe isn’t even on this brand which is exactly why he is going to win this match. Joe is the perfect guy to start the Eric Bichoff Era of Smackdown and Kofi is starting to get stale as champion. This is my hot take so let it simmer and bask in my glory when I’m right.
Pick – Samoa Joe
Evan: I refuse to believe the Kofi Kingston reign is over. Joe can get even more ruthless after a loss, and eventually get his first WWE Championship at Summerslam. For now, the power of positivity reigns.
Pick – Kofi Kingston

Winner-Take-All Extreme Rules WWE Universal & Raw Women’s Championship Match: Becky Lynch (c) & Seth Rollins (c) vs Lacey Evans & Baron Corbin
Javier: Seth and Becky win and end these awful programs. Please. Get Lacey Evans in the Performance Center to learn how to wrestle and Baron Corbin away from the main event. That is all.
Pick – Lynch & Rollins
Evan: This is easy. Baron Corbin will not be Universal Champion. Done.
Pick – Lynch & Rollins
