The Wrestling Roundup is here to bring you all the news and rumors you need to know in one place.
AEW on TNT Start Date & Deal Announced
TNT is officially back in the wrasslin’ business. AEW on TNT will begin airing on Wednesday nights, starting on October 2nd. It will air directly opposed to WWE’s NXT show, going from 8 to 10 pm. The new show remains nameless, but the trailer for it is here:
The first episode will take place at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. It will also be only two days before WWE’s first SmackDown on Fox. The official announcement (h/t WrestlingInc) says AEW on TNT will focus on character freedom and real sports analysis.
Daniel Bryan to 205 Live?
Former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan has been teasing a career-altering for a few weeks now. Rumors are circulating that the announcement could be him moving to 205 Live (h/t CagesideSeats). The cruiserweight show has struggled to find audience since debuting, and moving a former world champion like Bryan over could draw some eyeballs.
No concrete source was given for the rumors, so take it with a grain of salt. However it does make sense to move established names to 205 Live to increase viewership. Even on a part-time basis, guys like Bryan, Rey Mysterio, or Ricochet could make sense.
