Reigns Attacker Storyline Update

Roman Reigns may not have a match on this weekend’s Summerslam card. According to Dave Meltzer, (h/t WrestlingInc) the originally planned Reigns-Daniel Bryan match won’t happen at Summerslam. The planned match is being dropped so that the angle can go on for longer. On Tuesday night, Reigns learned from Buddy Murphy that Rowan was the one who attacked him.

Rowan & Daniel Bryan denied the claims that they were involved. Another potential match of Reigns & Samoa Joe versus Bryan & Rowan was also scrapped.

Ruby Riott Undergoes Second Surgery

WWE Superstar Ruby Riott underwent her second shoulder surgery on Wednesday (h/t PWInsider). She tweeted a photo from her surgery:

Riott underwent surgery on her right shoulder back in May. This surgery was on her left shoulder. Riott is not expected to return until 2020. Her last match was May 17th.

NWA To Produce Weekly Television Show

Another weekly wrestling show is coming soon. NWA President Billy Corgan announced a new studio show taping in Atlanta, Georgia. The show will air weekly, and the first tapings are scheduled for September 30th and October 1st. The full announcement is in the video below.

No other details on the show, such as where it will air, are yet known. NWA will be making it’s return to weekly television, adding one more to the weekly wrestling market.
