NXT makes it’s return to Toronto for TakeOver on Saturday, August 10th. Four title matches are on the card, and Undisputed Era has a chance to earn all the gold. Will they walk out with titles around their waist? What will the third fall of Adam Cole-Johnny Gargano’s NXT Championship match be? Javier, Kevin, and Evan offer up their picks for NXT TakeOver: Toronto II.

Io Shirai vs Candice LeRae
Javier: Io Shirai just turned heel and needs a win to establish herself as a real player in the division. She’s not losing this one.
Pick: Io Shirai
Kevin: Candice LeRae wins with a roll up only to be attacked after the match. This will build to some sort of landmark bout that allows for weapons.
Pick: Candice LeRae
Evan: Heel Io has been a revelation. As much as LeRae would benefit from a signature win, Shirai needs more heat as a heel. A convincing win will give her just that.
Pick: Io Shirai

NXT Tag Team Championship: Street Profits (c) vs Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly)
Javier: The Street Profits have been appearing on Raw almost every week backstage so I think their days in Full Sail are over. Fish and O’Reilly Autoparts win the belts for a third time and prove why they’re the best tag team in NXT history.
Pick: Undisputed Era
Kevin: Fish and O’Reilly make history as three time champions; this will be either step one or two of fulfilling the prophecy of UE holding all the gold.
Pick: Undisputed Era
Evan: It’s time for Undisputed Era to recapture the tag gold. As fun as Street Profits are, we need Kyle O’Reilly air guitar-ing with the title once again. This would free Ford & Dawkins up for a permanent main roster call-up.
Pick: Undisputed Era

NXT North American Championship: Velveteen Dream (c) vs Pete Dunne vs Roderick Strong
Javier: What a shocking pick by me! Dream has grown stale in the build of this match and with the sudden addition of Dunne into the match, I feel like it all points to either Dunne or Strong winning. My money is always on the Bruiserweight.
Pick: Pete Dunne
Kevin: Strong wins pinning Dream in the process after Dunne lays out Dream. This transitions Dream more or less out of the picture and sets up Strong and Dunne for a feud that concludes their history.
Pick: Roderick Strong
Evan: Undisputed Era is not going to hold all the gold, and it’s going to be Strong who comes up short. Strong has sometimes been positioned as the weak link of UE, and that could continue here. Instead, it’s the Bruiserweight who will walk out with the gold.
Pick: Pete Dunne

NXT Women’s Championship: Shayna Baszler (c) vs Mia Yim
Javier: If you read my NXT reviews then you’d know that I have no interest in this feud. They’ve done a decent job of building Yim up but this just doesn’t scream out Takeover match to me. Baszler retains and continues to dominate the women’s division of NXT.
Pick: Shayna Baszler
Kevin: Baszler retains; she retains barely pushing their rubber match into a No DQ or Street Fight.
Pick: Shayna Baszler
Evan: So you’re all on Baszler, eh? I have been made a fool by picking against Baszler in the past. However, I see Shirai as the next reigning heel champ, and a transitional champion may be needed. That’s where Mia Yim comes in.
Pick: Mia Yim

NXT Championship Two-out-of-Three Falls Match: Adam Cole (c) vs Johnny Gargano
Javier: It just doesn’t make sense for Gargano to win this match. I think that Gargano wins the first fall, loses the second, and then William Regal announces that the third fall will be a special guest referee in Tomasso Ciampa. Cole retains, but it sets up a match with Ciampa or a triple threat at the next Takeover.
Pick: Adam Cole
Kevin: My pick is Adam Cole retains as he completes the proficiency for UE holding all the gold at once.
Pick: Adam Cole
Evan: Sticking with my prediction that Undisputed Era aren’t coming to the main roster yet, Cole retains. Gargano has done pretty much all he can in NXT, and he’ll head to the main roster shortly.
Pick: Adam Cole
