WWE King of the Ring Returning

For the first time since 2015, King of the Ring is back in WWE. The tournament was announced during Raw last night, and will start next week. A bracket has not been announced, but the 16 participants have been. They are:

Orange Cassidy Signs With AEW

Another indy star has been signed by All Elite Wrestling. Orange Cassidy was announced in the latest Being the Elite as the newest roster member. His debut announcement is shown below.

Cassidy has already appeared for AEW. He was a participant in the Casino Battle Royale on the Buy-In for Double or Nothing. Cassidy’s laid back persona made him an indy darling, and will make him a popular wrestler among AEW’s rabid fanbase.

SmackDown 20th Anniversary Show Announced

WWE’s first show on Fox is going to be a big one. The company announced the 20th anniversary show for October 4th, their first episode on Fox. For the show, WWE are bringing in many stars of the past. The current list of legends scheduled for the show are (h/t Fightful):

October’s first week is looking to be a banner week for wrestling. AEW on TNT will debut on the Wednesday, and SmackDown’s 20th Anniversary will be Friday.
