The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have almost filled their first ten to the practice squad for the 2019 season. These players have a shot at being promoted to the 53 man active roster at any time but are still free game for the rest of the NFL. Here’s a look at the rules for the practice squad and the players the Buccaneers have signed.
The Rules
The practice squad is much like a reserve for each and every team. Each team can have ten players to practice with the team. At any point, a player may be called up to the active 53 man roster or released. If the Buccaneers decide to sign a player off another practice squad they must be signed to the 53 man active roster. In order to add a player from one practice squad to the Buccaneers, they must be released.
Practice squad players can not sign with a team playing against their former team that week unless it’s six days before the game. Ten days if the team they are leaving is on a bye week. The players must still pass the wavier process if they are released by their previous team and for the first three weeks, the Buccaneers are sitting in the number five spot.

The Players
Returning to the Buccaneers to start the season on the practice squad are a lot of players we have seen in camp and preseason.
Per Greg Auman @gregauman the following have signed with the Buccaneers;
Tight End Jordan Leggett returns after leaving a positive impression on the staff during camp and preseason.
Safety John Battle who showed well after being added to camp late.
Running Back Bruce Anderson who has shown flashes in preseason games and camp. Anderson had a good showing in the final preseason game.
Wide Reciever Emanuel Hall. Another promising young wide receiver from camp. Wide receiver may be the teams deepest position.
Quarterback Nick Fitzgerald. After missing all of training camp and not playing in preseason the staff may feel they have a player thye can mold and improve. He will be a project, one Bruce Arians may have handpicked to stay.
Offensive Tackle Brad Seaton. Seaton returns to the Buccaneers after a short stint with the Browns during the preseason.
Center Nate Trewyn, defensive tackle Terry Beckner and cornerback Mazzi Wilkins round out the practice squad.
As of 7:10 pm of September first the tenth man remains unknown.
