Kacy Catanzaro Leaving WWE

NXT star and former American Ninja Warrior Kacy Catanzaro is reportedly leaving WWE. SquaredCircleSirens reports that Catanzaro has asked for her release after a back injury. Catanzaro has appeared in the Mae Young Classic and in the Women’s Royal Rumble before. She has not commented publicly on the release as of yet, but did tweet this on Saturday:

Catanzaro is currently dating WWE superstar Ricochet. All the best to Catanzaro in her recovery from injury.

Finn Balor’s New Look

It’s a slow news day, but it is still news. Finn Balor is reportedly taking a few months off after his Summerslam program with “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. Balor hasn’t been on our television screens since, but he has been active on social media. On Monday, Balor tweeted this photo of a freshly shaved dome.

No word on when Finn Balor will return to WWE.

The latest set of NXT UK tapings happened Sunday following TakeOver: Cardiff. To avoid any spoilers, stop reading here.

After two big title changes in Cardiff on Saturday, what does the direction of the UK brand look like? Here are some noteworthy happenings on the latest set of tapings:

  • Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster retained their NXT Tag Team Championships over Grizzled Young Veterans in a rematch.
  • Tyler Bate said he isn’t done with NXT UK, and seemed to start a feud with Jordan Devlin.
  • Trent Seven lost a match to Noam Dar by DQ when he refused to break a five count.
  • Kay Lee Ray retained her newly won NXT Women’s Championship over Tegan Nox.
