On Wednesday afternoon, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced their 2019 team captains. After a year of not holding a captains patch, quarterback Jameis Winston gets the nod from his teammates this season. With Mike Evans and Ali Marpet rounding out the offensive team captains, Lavonte David continues his tenure as a defensive captain.

New, and to somewhat of a good surprise, Carl Nassib will be a team captain alongside David on the defensive side of the ball. His dedication and passion on the field make this a no brainer. The special team’s captain for 2019 will be third-year running back Dare Ogunbowale.
Ogunbowale had an impressive preseason and training camp for the Buccaneers and will serve as the Bucs third running back.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the San Fransisco 49ers this Sunday at 4:25 eastern time at home to open their 2019 regular season.
