The NFL is likely to hand down a fine and no suspension. With all the issues the offensive line is facing, a suspension would have been a huge hurdle to overcome.
“I have not heard anything definitive about that,” head coach Freddie Kitchens said. “I hope that is the case. Greg is very remorseful. It does not do us any good now. He understands what he did was wrong, and that won’t happen again. “
The ejection took place in the second quarter of Sunday’s 43-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

“During the play, I was just trying hard but I ended up bumping into a guy, and he braced himself and pushed back on me as I was trying to make sure the pile did not fall on me. As I fell, he was coming forward and I kicked him in his helmet. I had no idea I would be ejected but the referee explained everything to me as he walked me off and that was the case. It is something you hate to see,” Robinson said. “I hurt the team obviously, and I feel like if I could have it back, I would do things differently. It was basically just a reaction. I could not really help myself.”
Robinson goes on to say he did not intend to kick Titans safety Kenny Vaccaro.
“I did not know he was even falling towards me, but as I hit the ground I saw him and my foot just made contact,” Robinson said. “It looked worse than it was, you know?”
“I handle it with me and Greg Robinson and me and the team,” Kitchens said. “That is all.”
So what would Robinson have done to avoid the situation?
“Maybe just curl my knees to my chest almost” Robinson said. “Just try to avoid it. It was just a shocking thing. I did not think I was going to fall because clearly, I was just trying to make sure the pile did not basically fall on me and not end up under the pile, but the guy pushed me and I just fell backwards.”
It’s time to move forward and fix the issues with penalties and the offensive line. The Browns can’t afford to lose the New York Jets on Monday Night Football next week.
