The Wrestling Roundup is here to bring you all the news and rumors you need to know in one place.

WWE Shakes Up Commentary Teams

The commentary teams are now official for the new era of WWE programming. WWE announced the changes to their teams today, including a new lead voice on Monday Night Raw. The commentary teams are:

  • Raw: Vic Joseph with Dio Maddin & Jerry “The King” Lawler
  • NXT: Mauro Ranallo with Nigel McGuinness & Beth Phoenix
  • SmackDown: Michael Cole with Corey Graves & “Special Correspondent” Renee Young.

WWE goes out of their way to list Young as a correspondent and not an analyst. If that means WWE will have a two-person booth with special reports from Young remains to be seen.

The odd men out of the commentary shake-up are Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton. They have been two of the three voices on SmackDown since the brand split in 2016. Where they will work now is undisclosed, though rumors have said Phillips may do some producing.
