Here is Red Zone Report Week 5.
A Red Zone opportunity is defined as either a rushing attempt or a target when the football was snapped inside the opponent’s 20-yard line.
For the rest of this article, the words Red Zone will be replaced with RZ.
Bye weeks: DET, MIA
AFC East
Buffalo Bills
WR Andre Roberts was the only Bills player with a RZ rushing attempt in week 5. As for RZ targets, TE Lee Smith and WR Duke Williams each saw 1.
New England Patriots
RB Sony Michel received all 4 of the Patriots RZ carries in week 5. The RZ targets were more spread out with WR Julian Edelman, WR Josh Gordon, TE Ryan Izzo, WR Jakobi Meyers and RB James White got 1 each.
New York Jets
WR Vyncint Smith had the Jets only RZ opportunity in week 5 and it was a rushing attempt.
AFC North
Baltimore Ravens
RB Mark Ingram had 3 RZ rushing attempts, with 1 coming inside the 5-yard line. QB Lamar Jackson also saw 3 RZ rushing attempts but none inside the 5. RB Gus Edwards received 2 RZ opportunities with 1 run and 1 target. As for other RZ targets, 3 went to WR Marquise Brown, 2 to WR Willie Snead and 1 to TE Mark Andrews.
Cincinnati Bengals
RB Joe Mixon saw both of the Bengals week 5 RZ rushing attempts, including 1 from inside the 5-yard line. WR Auden Tate led the team in week 5 RZ targets with 3. RB Giovani Bernard and TE C.J. Uzomah each had 2, while WR Tyler Boyd and TE Tyler Eifert each saw 1 RZ target.
Cleveland Browns

RB Nick Chubb got 2 RZ carries, while Odell Beckham received 1. Beckham also saw 1 RZ target which was the same amount of RZ targets that WR Antonio Callaway and TE Demetrius Harris both received.
Pittsburgh Steelers
RB James Conner led the way for the Steelers with 4 RZ rushing attempts, including 1 from inside the 5-yard line. Otherwise, WR Diontae Johnson, TE Vance McDonald and RB Jaylen Samuels each had 1 RZ target.
AFC South
Houston Texans
RB Carlos Hyde and RB Duke Johnson each received 3 RZ carries. The only differences were that 1 of Hyde’s came inside the 5-yard line and Hyde also saw 1 RZ target. But it was WR Will Fuller who led the way for the Texans with 4 RZ targets. Both of the TEs each saw 1 RZ target as Jordan Akins and Darren Fells are still involved with the Houston RZ work.
Indianapolis Colts
It was a run-heavy approach for the Colts in the RZ. Both RB Marlon Mack and RB Jordan Wilkins each received 3 RZ carries, while Nyheim Hines had 1. Wilkins had a slight edge with 1 of those runs coming inside the 5-yard line. However, Mack had more total RZ opportunities with 1 RZ to his name. Other RZ targets went to TE Eric Ebron and WR Chester Rogers who each received 1.

Jacksonville Jaguars
RB Leonard Fournette saw 4 RZ rushing attempts, with 1 coming inside the 5-yard line. He also received 1 RZ target. The only other Jaguars player with a RZ opportunity in week 5 was WR D.J. Chark with 2 RZ targets.
Tennessee Titans
RB Derrick Henry got 3 RZ carries, with 1 coming inside the 5-yard line. QB Marcus Mariota also had 1 RZ from inside the 5. As for RZ targets, RB Dion Lewis received 2, while WR Tajae Sharpe saw 1.

AFC West
Denver Broncos
RB Royce Freeman and RB Phillip Lindsay both received 2 RZ rushing attempts, and each saw 1 of those inside the 5-yard line. Freeman also received the Broncos only RZ target from week 5.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs did not run the ball at all in the RZ during week 5. Instead, RB Damien Williams, in his return to action, led the team with 2 RZ targets. Otherwise, WR Mecole Hardman, TE Travis Kelce, WR Byron Pringle and WR Demarcus Robinson all received 1 RZ target each.
Los Angeles Chargers
In his first game of 2019, RB Melvin Gordon had both of the Chargers week 5 RZ rushing attempts. 1 of those two runs came inside the 5-yard line. RB Austin Ekeler led the way with 3 RZ targets, while WR Mike Williams received 2.
Oakland Raiders
RB Josh Jacobs and RB DeAndre Washington each got 3 RZ carries. In fact, they were split evenly because each player had 1 rushing attempt from inside the 5-yard line. Elsewhere, RB Jalen Richard also had 1 RZ run. TE Foster Moreau was the only Raiders targeted in the RZ and that happened twice in week 5.
NFC East
Dallas Cowboys
RB Ezekiel Elliott got the majority of the Cowboys week 5 RZ opportunities. He ran the ball twice in the RZ, including 1 time from inside the 5-yard line. He was also targeted once, along with WR Amari Cooper and TE Jason Witten.

New York Giants
RB Jon Hilliman, RB Elijhaa Penny and WR Sterling Shepard each received 1 RZ carry. Shepard also saw 2 RZ targets before exiting. However, the Giants week RZ target leader was TE Evan Engram with 4. In fact, he is pacing the entire NFL with 10 RZ targets in 2019. Other New York players to see RZ targets in week 5 include TE Rhett Ellison, WR Darius Slayton and WR Golden Tate with 1 each.
Philadelphia Eagles

RB Jordan Howard got 3 RZ rushing attempts in week 5, including 1 inside the 5-yard line. Miles Sanders only ran 1 time in the RZ but did see 3 targets in that area. For the other RZ targets, TE Zach Ertz, WR Mack Hollins and WR Alshon Jeffery each received 1.
Washington
Washington was the only team that played in week 5 and did not get any RZ opportunities.
NFC North
Chicago Bears
RB David Montgomery had 2 RZ carries, which were both inside the 5-yard line. Meanwhile, WR Cordarrelle Patterson saw 1 RZ rushing attempt. It was WR Allen Robinson with 3 RZ targets to lead the Bears in week 5 RZ opportunities. WR Anthony Miller also got a RZ target.
Green Bay Packers
RB Aaron Jones led the entire NFL in week 5 RZ opportunities with 7 runs and 1 target. 5 of those rushing attempts came inside the 5-yard line. WR Geronimo Allison paced the Packers with 2 RZ targets in week 5, while WR Jake Kumerow and WR Darrius Shepherd had 1 each.
Minnesota Vikings
RB Dalvin Cook received 2 RZ carries, including 1 from inside the 5-yard line. RB Ameer Abdullah and RB Alexander Mattison saw 1 RZ rush each. Adam Thielen was the only Vikings player targeted in the RZ during week 5, and he saw 2.
NFC South
Atlanta Falcons

RB Devonta Freeman saw 3 RZ carries to RB Ito Smith’s 2 and QB Matt Ryan‘s, with each player receiving 1 inside the 5-yard line. Both RBs also got 2 RZ targets in week 5, the same number as WR Mohamed Sanu. TE Austin Hooper, WR Julio Jones and WR Calvin Ridley each had 1 RZ target.
Carolina Panthers
RB Christian McCaffrey received 2 RZ rushing attempts and both were inside the 5-yard line. WR Curtis Samuel also saw 1 RZ carry, but also a RZ target. That was the same number as both FB Alex Amarah and WR Jarius Wright had in week 5.
New Orleans Saints
RB Alvin Kamara got all 3 of the Saints week 5 RZ carries. Both TE Jared Cook and WR Michael Thomas received 2 RZ targets, while WR Ted Ginn saw 1.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
One RZ opportunity per player as Peyton Barber and Ronald Jones ran once in the RZ. The only difference was that Barber’s occurred inside the 5-yard line. WR Mike Evans, WR Chris Godwin and RB Dare Ogunbowale each saw 1 target.
NFC West
Arizona Cardinals
RB David Johnson received 4 RZ carries, with 1 from inside the 5-yard line. Meanwhile, QB Kyler Murray had 3 RZ rushing attempts to himself while WR Andy Isabella had 1. The RZ targets were spread out as RB Chase Edmonds, WR Larry Fitzgerald, WR KeeSean Johnson, WR Trent Sherfield and TE Maxx Williams each got 1.
Los Angeles Rams
RB Todd Gurley ran the ball 3 times in the RZ, with 1 of those attempts coming inside the 5-yard line. Meanwhile, RB Malcolm Brown saw 1 RZ carry. WR Cooper Kupp led the Rams in week 5 RZ targets with 3, while WR Robert Woods had 1.
San Francisco 49ers
In his return, RB Tevin Coleman received 2 RZ rushing attempts, while RB Matt Breida got 1. Breida also saw 1 RZ target, the same number as WR Deebo Samuel. However, it was TE George Kittle, with 2, who led the way in that category.
Seattle Seahawks
RB Chris Carson saw half of the Seahawks week 5 RZ opportunities with 3 carries and 1 target. RB Rashaad Penny got the team’s only other RZ rushing attempt. Meanwhile, WR Tyler Lockett, WR D.K. Metcalf and WR David Moore saw 1 RZ target each.
