Welcome to the Week Nine Live Blog! The Patriots face their toughest test of the season to date with a road date in Baltimore with the Ravens, a team that has proven to have zero fear of New England. Can the Patriots stop Lamar Jackson? We are about to find out. Be sure to follow us throughout the game for live updates, analysis, and opinions from this AFC showdown. Enjoy the game!
FIRST QUARTER
15:00- The Ravens will begin the night on offense. This is what we have been waiting to see all week. 1st & 10…
14:55- Two-yard on the catch out of the RPO look; 2nd & 8…
14:10- Ingram takes it for three; 3rd & 5…
13:42- Brown makes the catch on the athletic play by Jackson; he was basically tackled. 1st & 10…
12:58- Corner has the pitch man on option, but he was nowhere to be found and the Ravens pick up 11 on the run; 1st & 10…
12:26- Brown takes the jet sweep 25 yards; Patriots are struggling. 1st & 10…
12:00- Jackson rips off six more; 2nd & 4…
11:15- The Ravens are putting on a clinic right now; the Ravens use an H-back to get in the flat for 10 more; 1st & 10…
10:30- Six more for Jackson; the Patriots need to change things up. 2nd & 4…
9:56- Ingram for two; 3rd & 2…
9:15- Foolish playcall by the Ravens is to the Patriots advantage; why run a dive out of gun? Use RPO with Jackson…Well, it doesn’t matter because the Patriots jumped offside. AWFUL start for the Patriots. 1st & Goal…
8:13- Touchdown, Ravens. Guess what they ran? RPO, which became an easy run to the left for a touchdown. New England’s defense looked completely outmatched on the drive, and if they don’t wake up, they will get their doors blown off tonight. Ravens 7, Patriots 0
8:10- Brady sails the first pass of the night; 2nd & 10…
8:04- Brady misses Sanu on the deep ball; the Ravens are depending on four to get a rush, deploying d-backs everywhere. 3rd & 10…
8:00- Ugly first series as Brady is forced to throw it away. Now the defense that just got rolled has to come back on the field and deal with this Ravens offense again. This is the worst start the Patriots could have imagined. Ravens 7, Patriots 0
7:49- 12-yard run by Ingram as the Patriots continue to get gashed. 1st & 10…
7:01- Eight yard gain on the throw; 2nd & 2…
6:22- Pass is deflected and almost picked but to no avail; 3rd & 2…
6:17- Andrews gains four and another Ravens’ first down; 1st & 10 from the 50…
5:42- Jackson runs for 20 on the option; 1st & 10…
4:55- Six more for Jackson; 2nd & 4…
4:34- Ingram runs for five more; 1st & 10…
3:56- Ingram for one, Hightower with the tackle; 2nd & 9…
3:19- Jackson is sacked for a loss of one; 3rd & 10…
2:33- Jackson makes an Uncle Rico-style throw off his tackles helmet and that forces the field goal attempt, which of course was good because Justin Tucker is the best kicker in football. It was nice the see the Patriots defense tighten up in the red zone. Ravens 10, Patriots 0
2:22- Michel runs for 10; 1st & 10…
2:03- Michel runs for four more; 2nd & 6…
1:48- No gain by Michel; 3rd & 7…
1:21- Brady is sacked. This is gross. 4th & 7…
:41- Seven-yard gain by Boyle; 2nd & 3…
:09- Neutral zone infraction, again; 1st & 10…that is the end of the first quarter, a quarter COMPLETELY dominated by the Ravens. Baltimore 10, New England 0
SECOND QUARTER
15:00- Ingram runs for 53; 1st & 10 from the Patriots 12. The Patriots run defense getting gashed last week was not a blip on the radar.
14:06- Touchdown, Ravens. Another 12-yard run and the Patriots should be ashamed of themselves. They are getting thrown around out there. Ravens 17, Patriots 0
14:00- Dorsett picks up six on the catch; 2nd & 4…
13:33- Burkhead picks up two; 3rd & 2…
12:50- Incomplete. The offense certainly is NOT HELPING the defense whatsoever.
12:41- FUMBLE!! PATRIOTS RECOVER! Old friend Cyrus Jones fumbles and gives the Patriots life.
12:25- White takes the pass to the flat to the five; 1st & Goal…
12:11- Pass is incomplete to Dorsett; 2nd & Goal…
12:07- Brady throws it away; they have been awful in the red zone this season. 3rd & Goal…
12:02- TOUCHDOWN, PATRIOTS!! Sanu makes his first touchdown catch as a Patriot, a MUCH needed touchdown to make this a game again. Let’s see if the defense can tighten up and stop the run. Ravens 17, Patriots 7
11:38- After a gain of two, Ravens face 2nd & 8…
11:18- Jackson eludes pressure, but he overthrows his target deep; 3rd & 8…
11:10- Finally! The Patriots defense stepped up and played THEIR defense and forced a punt doing so; the punt was downed at the New England 25. 1st & 10, Patriots…
10:07- Michel picks up 14 on the catch; 1st & 10 from their own 39…
9:27- Sanu on the crossing route for 10; 1st & 10 from the 50…
9:12- Edelman picks up 13 on the athletic catch and run; 1st & 10 from the Ravens 37…
8:40- Michel runs for five more; 2nd & 5…
8:02- Brady wants a DPI, but to no avail; 3rd & 5…AWFUL intentional grounding called instead. 3rd & 15…
7:55- Dorsett appeared to have a first down, but of course the Patriots were called for a hold. That last penalty completely screwed this drive, and now Newhouse kills the drive for good with a hold. He is terrible. 3rd & 25…
7:30- A fumble is called, but it definitely was not a fumble. 4th & 9 from the 37…the Patriots will punt, and they down it at the Ravens six-yard line. Bailey is one hell of a punter. Ravens 17, Patriots 7
7:10- Edwards runs for five; 2nd & 5…
6:29- FUMBLE!! Patriots recover! 1st & 10 from the 19…
5:59- Sanu for 12 on the catch; 1st & Goal…
4:51- After a hold on Mason, the Patriots pick up three; 2nd & Goal…
4:25- Brady eludes pressure and finds Edelman at the four; 3rd & Goal…
3:44- Brady forces it to Edelman, and the Patriots are forced to attempt the field goal. 4th & Goal…
3:41- FIELD GOAL, PATRIOTS! Folk connects for three, although that is not what the Patriots wanted in that situation. They need to step up on defense again and not allow the Ravens to score before the end of the half. Ravens 17, Patriots 10
3:31- Snead picks up eight on the catch; 2nd & 2…
2:55-Edwards runs for four; 1st & 10…
2:15- Hightower played the QB sweep perfectly, stopping Jackson for no gain; 2nd & 10…
1:56- Hightower with another tackle after a gain of four; 3rd & 6…
1:51- Butler knocks it down and forces the Ravens to punt; it appears the Patriots defense has settled in and can now get stops. This game could get interesting going forward. Ravens 17, Patriots 10

Ep 138: Chiefs Survive Jets On Sunday Night Football
by Full Press Coverage on October 2, 2023 at 2:18 pm
1:45- White runs for two; 2nd & 8…
1:18- Watson makes the catch for a gain of four, and the Ravens take an extra shot to garner a 15-yard penalty; 1st & 10 from the Patriots 40…
1:12- Edelman picks up 25 on the huge catch; 1st & 10 from the Ravens 35…
:35- White makes an amazing catch on the wheel route, setting up the Patriots offense at the Ravens five; 1st & Goal…
:24- No gain by Watson; 2nd & Goal…
:16- Brady throws it away under heavy pressure; 3rd & Goal…timeout, Ravens.
:10- Creative play as the Patriots run a criss-cross jet sweep and White runs it to the one; there is a review right now because it appeared it was untouched before he crossed the goal line.
:10- The cowards who review the play say it was called it correctly on the field. It wasn’t.
:08- FIELD GOAL, PATRIOTS!! Folk connects to cut the lead to four, something that was unexpected if you watched the first quarter of this game. Ravens 17, Patriots 13
:02- The Ravens take a knee, and that is the end of the first half. The Ravens owned the first quarter, but the Patriots owned the second quarter.
RAVENS 17, PATRIOTS 13
HALFTIME
THIRD QUARTER
15:00- Brady throws it away; 2nd & 10…
14:50- Edelman picks up three on the catch; 3rd & 7…
14:17- Sanu again, this time for 11 yards and another first down; 1st & 10…
13:42- Flea-flicker goes to Sanu for 12 yards; 1st & 10…
13:27- Brady throws to Michel, who ran the wrong route; 2nd & 10…
13:17- Edelman picks up seven; 3rd & 3…
12:55- Brady hits Edelman for a gain of nine on the out route; 1st & 10…
12:25- Touchdown, Ravens. Edelman fumbles and the Ravens return it for the score. Wow. The Patriots were driving to take the lead and the momentum COMPLETELY flipped. Ravens 24, Patriots 13
12:21- Burkhead runs for six; 2nd & 4…
11:58- Burkhead runs for seven more; 1st & 10…
11:23- Sanu picks up 13 on the catch; 1st & 10 from the Patriots 48…
10:57- Old-man Watson picks up 16 on the catch; 1st & 10…
10:30- White picks up seven on the run; 2nd & 3…
10:11- White for six more and another 1st down; 1st & 10…
9:50- White runs for six more, and the no-huddle is working; 2nd & 4…
9:12- White picks up one; 3rd & 3…
8:45- Edelman picks up seven and sets up the Patriots with 1st & Goal from the four…
8:18- White to the one…
8:03- TOUCHDOWN, PATRIOTS!! THAT WAS A CLINIC! Wow. The no-huddle just destroyed the Ravens; if the defense can keep the Ravens in check, the Patriots have a very good chance to win this game because it doesn’t appear that the Ravens have any chance to stop this no-huddle offense unless they fumble again. Ravens 24, Patriots 20
7:59- Strong coverage by Bolden and the Ravens will start their series at their own 18…
7:53- Pass is incomplete, intended for Ingram; 2nd & 10…
7:48- Ingram runs for five; 3rd & 5…
7:10- Andrews makes the catch on Brooks, the backup safety brought in specifically to cover on the play. 1st & 10…
6:28- Ingram picks up seven on the option; 2nd & 4…
5:50- Ricard picks up eight; 1st & 10…
5:04- Hill runs for three; 2nd & 7…
4:17- Jackson runs around, scaring the hell out of Patriots fans everywhere (he had a wide-open receiver too); 3rd & 7…
4:12- Jackson runs for three; 4th & 4…Ravens are going for it…
3:28- Snead makes the catch for six; pick play worked. 1st & 10…12 men on the field for the Ravens, 1st & 15…
2:28- Ingram runs for three; 2nd & 7…
1:41- Brown makes the catch and gains 15 on the play; the Ravens are threatening to score again. 1st & 10 from the Patriots 16…
1:04- Wow. Jackson can run like Vick; he was caught in the backfield, but it doesn’t matter because of the way this guy runs. 1st & Goal…
:24- No gain on the run by Jackson; 2nd & Goal…that is the end of the third quarter. The Patriots dominated play for the most part, but turnovers will kill you, and the Edelman fumble may be the deciding factor in tonight’s game. Ravens 24, Patriots 20
FOURTH QUARTER
15:00- Touchdown, Ravens. Once again the Patriots are playing undisciplined defense. Boyle makes the catch and extends the Ravens, but Justin Tucker actually missed the extra point, which could be huge. Ravens 30, Patriots 20
14:49- Sanu picks up four; 2nd & 6…
14:22- Edelman picks up 10; 1st & 10…
14:03- Sanu picks up three more; 2nd & 7
13:22- Sanu for 10; 1st & 10…
13:06- Almost picked off, but the pass was incomplete; 2nd & 10…
13:01- Watson can’t come up with it, and the Patriots are faced with 3rd & 10…
12:47- Interception, Ravens. Brady chucked it up into double coverage and Earl Thomas picked it like a punt. 1st & 10, Ravens…
12:38- Bentley with the tackle for a loss of two; 2nd & 12…
12:05- Boyle picks up eight; 3rd & 4…
11:29- Offsides, defense; 1st & 10…
10:58- Edwards runs for five; 2nd & 5…
10:25- Ingram is stuffed for a gain of one; 3rd & 4…
9:40- Ingram picks up 18 more through the air; 1st & 10…
9:02- Gain of two; 2nd & 8…
8:23- Edwards stuffed for one; 3rd & 7…
7:45- Hands to the face on the Patriots; 1st & 10…
7:38- Gain of one on the run; 2nd & 9…
6:56- Ingram with another catch for a gain of 11; 1st & 10 from the NE 11…
6:16- Illegal formation; Belichick declined the penalty. 2nd & 8…
4:46- Ingram takes it to the one-inch line; 2nd & Goal…
4:01- False start backs the Ravens up to the six; 2nd & Goal…
3:55- Ingram is short of the end zone; 3rd & Goal…
3:!2- Touchdown, Ravens. The Patriots just got punched in the face tonight, end of story. We’ll keep you updated, but there isn’t much to say about this game. The Ravens are the tougher team right now, and the Patriots better figure out a way to stop physical teams. Ravens 37, Patriots 20
2:!5- Brady to Watson for three; 2nd & 7, two-minute warning.
1:54- Brady gets sacked to end this mess of a game for New England. Thankfully they are headed into the bye week. They need to get healthy and they also need to self-scout and fix their issues defending the run.
1:00- Baltimore takes victory formation, and that will do it from Baltimore. The Patriots lose for the 1st time this season. Thanks for joining us tonight! Be sure to join us following the bye week as the Patriots look to get back on track against the Eagles.
FINAL SCORE- BALTIMORE RAVENS 37, NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 20
