The Wrestling Roundup is here to bring you all the news and rumors you need to know in one place.

A comparison of AEW & NXT is coming later today from Kaden, so keep an eye out for that. Full results from NXT can be found here, and AEW Dynamite results are here.

War Games Competitors Revealed

NXT is going to have it’s first ever women’s War Games match at TakeOver: War Games III. This match emerged out of a brawl last week, and most of the competitors were announced Wednesday. On The Bump, captains Rhea Ripley and Shayna Baszler announced two of their picks each: Ripley chose Tegan Nox and Candice Lerae, and Baszler chose Bianca Belair and Io Shirai.

On NXT Wednesday night, the fourth member was announced for Ripley’s team. She chose Mia Yim, much to the dismay of Dakota Kai who had been trying to earn a spot on the team. Kai lost to Baszler on the show, and did not impress Ripley enough. The fourth member of Baszler’s team is still unknown.

Undisputed Era will find themselves in another War Games match this year. They’ll team up to face Tomasso Ciampa, Matt Riddle, Keith Lee, and one other unannounced Superstar.

WWE Backstage Viewership Below 50,000

After two strong showings for their preview episodes, the first official episode of WWE Backstage didn’t break 50,000 viewers. According to Showbuzz (h/t CagesideSeats) the show was only seen by 49,000 people. It was a strong show in terms of star power, with Bray Wyatt, John Cena, Shawn Michaels and Rob Gronkowski all appearing in some capacity. How Fox executives will react, and if WWE will change anything about the show, is yet to be seen.

XFL Signs Pat McAfee

Pat McAfee continues to be one of the busiest men in sports broadcasting. It was announced Wednesday that McAfee will be the on-field analyst for the Sunday night games of the XFL season on ESPN (h/t WrestlingInc). He will be on the call with Tom Hart and Joey Galloway. Another gig for McAfee and his jorts.

One for the Road:

An excellent promo from Cody as part of the Full Gear go-home show. Worth the watch.
