NXT Results: Absolute Carnage

The march to both Survivor Series and War Games is on. NXT had a jam-packed episode this week, with lots of moments setting up for their upcoming pay-per-views. Full results from Wednesday night are here:

  • Xia Li def. Aliyah
  • Keith Lee def. Roderick Strong
  • Isaiah “Swerve” Scott def. Bronson Reed

  • Io Shirai def. Mia Yim in a ladder match, giving Shayna Baszler’s team the entrance advantage at War Games

NXT Takeaways:

Finn Balor continues to be rejuvenated in NXT. He called out Johnny Gargano for being injured, and then shifted his focus to a new target: Matt Riddle. Balor asked for someone to step in the ring with him, and Riddle answered. These two will now square off at War Games.

In the main event, it looked like Mia Yim had the match won for her team. NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray then interfered and cost Yim the match. Shayna Baszler’s team is still one member short, but it looks like that spot now belongs to Ray.

AEW Dynamite Results: Full Gear Fallout

All Elite Wrestling had their first-ever fallout episode of Dynamite on Wednesday. MJF took the chance to explain his actions, and we had plenty of in-ring fireworks. The match results for the evening:

AEW Dynamite Takeaways:

One thing that fans were waiting for was for MJF to explain his turn on Cody at Full Gear. He said that Cody is the real villain, and he’s the only one who sees it. MJF was offered a spot in the Inner Circle by Chris Jericho, but declined. When Cody came out to get his hands on his former BFF, a new addition debuted to protect MJF. Wardlow looks to be MJF’s heavy going forward.

Luchasaurus returned on the show! He came out to defend his Jungle Express teammates about two months ahead of his scheduled return time. Jungle Express is back at full strength.
