The Wrestling Roundup is here to bring you all the news and rumors you need to know in one place.

WWE SmackDown Results:

The war between NXT and the main roster continued on Friday night. NXT stars invaded and disrupted the action throughout the night. Full results from Friday night are here:

  • Mustafa Ali & Shorty G def. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode, retaining their spots on the SmackDown Survivor Series team
  • New Day versus The Revival goes to a no-contest when Undisputed Era interfere
  • Heavy Machinery def. Francis Kip Stevens & Kevin Tibbs
  • Bayley versus Nikki Cross goes to a no-contest when many NXT women interfere
  • Carmella, Dana Brooke, Nikki Cross & Sasha Banks def. Dakota Kai, Tegan Nox, Mia Yim & Rhea Ripley

SmackDown Takeaways:

Bray Wyatt revealed a new Universal Championship on the show. Spoilers: it goes from red to blue. Even with just a small change, it looks impressive as an all-blue belt.

The next Universal Championship match has been set: Bray Wyatt versus Daniel Bryan. Bryan delivered a masterful performance on the mic, fully straddling the line between face and heel. He talked about being mentally unstable, not being a puppet, and turning his back on the Yes Movement. Eventually he challenged Wyatt, giving us our Universal Championship match for Survivor Series.

Bryan also continues to be on the fence about a partnership with Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn

What a way to get heat for the Survivor Series tag champions triple threat: have the Undisputed Era ruin a great tag team title match. The Revival are livid after UE interfered. Let us create a prayer circle in hopes that down the road we get Undisputed Era versus The Revival.

Drew Gulak continues to have issues with Braun Strowman, because he apparently has a death wish. It’s a fun way to introduce the PowerPoint gimmick to a bigger audience.

205 Live Results & Brian Kendrick Note:

WWE’s resident high-flyers took to the ring on Friday night as well. The Cruiserweight Champion competed in a main-event tag match. Full results are here:

  • Angel Garza def. Jack Gallagher
  • The Singhs def. Local Talent
  • Lio Rush & Raul Mendoza def. Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari

Check out this smooth move by Garza, the sneaky devil:

Earlier in the day on Twitter, 205 Live’s Brian Kendrick tweeted that he is taking an indefinite leave from the ring. The way it is written makes it feel like it is somewhat in kayfabe. Still, Kendrick could be frustrated with his current usage and decided to take some time away from the ring.

AEW Announces “Dream Match”

Two of All Elite Wrestling’s top tag team stars will battle in singles action. Matt Jackson of the Young Bucks will take on Fenix of the Lucha Bros on Wednesday’s show.

This match joins a 12-man Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale, Private Party versus Santana & Ortiz, and Jon Moxley versus Darby Allin on the card this coming week.
